Aubrey Wilson An Independence, KS native, Aubrey has been directing and stage managing for over 15 years. She is the current Director of Theatre at Emporia State University. Prior to this position, her work has moved her all over the country: from Kansas to New York, Connecticut, Iowa, Indiana, and Oregon. Aubrey has an MFA in Stage Management from the University of Iowa.
Aubrey’s theatrical focus areas are musical theatre and new works. At Emporia State University, she directs two mainstage productions a year. This year, she directed ESU’s 50th Anniversary Homecoming Musical, She Loves Me in the fall, and Tough, a new play by Margot Connolly in the Spring. In addition to this, she coaches all stage managers at Emporia State, providing them with a hands-on mentor. This summer, she is excited to direct Spring Awakening.
