
Damian Hawkins is an emerging playwright with an interest in exploring family dynamics on stage. In addition to forcing characters to confront what lies beneath the surface, his work has also been described as capturing the raw and intimate moments that shape relationships. He holds a master’s degree with a major in English and a concentration in writing. Damian’s plays, Fires and Forms and The Sit Down were produced in Baltimore, Maryland and Chicago, Illinois. His play, The Girl in the Purple Dress won the 2024 Arts Prevail’ Of House and Home Playwriting Contest. Damian’s play, P-I-S-D was awarded an Honorable Mention by the South Carolina Theatre Association’s 10 Minute Playworks Festival.
