Harty Blackert is the Fine Arts Technical Director & Theater Manager at Independence Community College. Aside from teaching Tech Theater classes, he has production designed for such shows as: Les Miserables, Almost Maine, Night of the Living Dead, South Pacific, The Skin Of Our Teeth, TEDx ICC, Mr. Burns: A Post-Electric Play, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Little Shop of Horrors, Once Upon A Mattress, South Pacific, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Spitfire Grill, Chekov’s Three Sisters, The Nerd, The 24-Hour Plays, etc. He also designed the scenery for Neewollah’s Young Frankenstein, Honk! and Mary Poppins the Musical.
