Merle is delighted to be a first time participant in The Inge Festival! She has performed at many Kansas City and regional theaters where some of her favorite roles have been: Violet in August: Osage County, Big Mama in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and Linda in Death of a Salesman at Kansas city Repertory Theatre; Mary Tyrone in Long Day’s Journey Into Night, Lorraine in Lie of the Mind at Kansas City Actors Theatre; Portia in Julius Caesar, Titania in A Midsummer night’s Dream at Heart of America Shakespeare Festival; Eleanor in A Lion In Winter, Regina in The Little Foxes, and Elvira in Blithe Spirit at American Heartland Theatre; Grace in Faith Healer, Polly in Other Desert Cities, Sara in The Sisters Rosensweig at Unicorn Theatre; M’lynn in Steel Magnolias and Jaqueline in Don’t Dress For Dinner at New Theatre: Julia in Lend Me A Tenor and Janet in Witness For The Prosecution Lyceum Theatre Arrow Rock Mo. Merle has done hundreds of radio and TV commercials and appeared in the NBC mini-series I Love You To Death, The Laura Black Story with Brooke Shields and Ant Lee’s movie Ride With The Devil.
