Ron Fassler (New Play Lab Playwright)

Ron Fassler

Ron Fassler (he/him) is an author, playwright, director, actor, theatre critic and historian and blogger. His acclaimed first book “Up in the Cheap Seats: A Historical Memoir of Broadway” tells the stories of how from age eleven he saw 200 Broadway shows over a four-year span—at an average ticket price of $3. Nathan Lane called it “Well worth the price of admission,” and it was selected as a “must-read theatre book” by Playbill Magazine. He is here at the Inge Festival with his one-act play Having Words for the second consecutive time, as his Half Glasses was selected for the 2019 competition. www.ronfassler.org.
