Amanda White (she/her) is proud and delighted to be back at the Inge Center, a place she has long considered an artistic home. This is one of several roles Amanda has played at the Inge Center: she has been a frequent visiting artist to the Festival and resident playwright program, a Center grant writer, an ICC adjunct faculty member in the Theatre Department, and most recently, Associate Artistic Director for the William Inge Center for the Arts through a national Theatre Communications Group New Generations/Future Leaders Fellowship. In her tenure as Associate Artistic Director, Amanda co-produced a portion of “The Greensburg Project”, a collaboration in Greensburg, KS, in partnership with the Inge Center, Kansas playwright Marcia Cebulska, and Cornerstone Theater Company of Los Angeles. Amanda has been fortunate to work toward the development and production of new plays throughout her career, and has produced, directed, performed with, and trained with some of our country’s great theatre artists. She has served on the Major Gifts and Strategy teams at New York’s Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, in Play Development for Broadway’s The Araca Group, and as Managing Director at Mixed Blood Theatre in Minneapolis. She is also proud to serve as a current member of the Theatre Department faculty at Normandale Community College in the Twin Cities, MN. Amanda is committed to cultivating theatre as a tool for community building, placemaking, and empathy practice; she is a founding Artistic Director at DalekoArts, an ensemble theatre company in rural New Prague, MN (now in its 10th season), where she is proud to collaborate on work that is founded in the legacy of midwestern artists. Amanda is a graduate of Columbia University’s MA Program in Arts Administration, Minnesota State University Mankato’s MFA in Theatre Performance, Truman State University’s Theatre Arts program, and the School at Steppenwolf Theatre Company in Chicago.
