Now residing in Ashburnham, MA, Peter Anderegg once lived in Hollywood and wrote scripts for Hanna-Barbera’s Scooby-doo, Yogi Bear, and Gobots until deciding he preferred steadier work and health insurance and so became a librarian. Retiring after 30 years, he returned to his earlier dreams of writing and saw Fitchburg State University produce two works, including Rot from Beneath, a rewrite of Shakespeare’s Hamlet. This coming May, The Other Apples, a play about small town politics, will be staged in Worcester, MA. In 2021, his full-length play, Flight Delay, was produced in NYC to bruising reviews – painful to read but unfortunately accurate. He holds a B.F.A. from Ithaca College and an M.L.S. from the University of Maryland at College Park.
