
Shannon Chinn is a Nebraska based playwright whose works have been performed on Nebraska high school and university stages. Her playwriting credits include The Fall of Lafontaine Manor, The Tempest’s Tale or, Caught Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea (Raymond Central High School, 2023) , Two Steps Back (Nebraska Wesleyan University, 2021), and Something Wicked: A Slasher Macbeth (Shoestring Theatre Omaha, 2022). Shannon’s play To Thine Own Self Be True was selected to be a part of the Rose Theater’s (Omaha, NE) 2022-2023 Sharing Our Stories Program, which involved a year-long workshop process and culminated in a public staged reading. To Thine Own Self Be True was also recently published by independent company Gitelman&Good Publishers. Her play Ronnie, Rosie, and the Feminine Mystique was performed as a staged reading at the Omaha Community Playhouse’s NOW (New Omaha Works) Lab in 2023. Shannon currently works as one of the theatre program directors at Raymond Central High School in Raymond, NE.
